can one take a regular bag to pack on a plane instead of a luggage bag? which in just a few Duffle or Totes?

I have no luggage bags so I was wondering if I could take just a regular tote, or perhaps like purse type thing. my first time on an airplane. please help! ThankYou !!!!!!!!!

You can take Duffle … Just make sure to zip up securely. I would not recommend it if you have any fragile items because Duffle usually have soft sides, so they do not offer much protection. ** Some people still lock their luggage, but I personally think it's a waste of time. All a lock indicates is that you may have something valuable in your luggage … and it is not to discourage those who really want to steal your stuff. Plus … locks that come with the baggage is cheap and can easily be caught (believe me … I lost the key to the mine and had to take it, and it was simple and I have not the first clue about picking locks). Not to mention … who cares on a lock, when they can use a knife to cut open the thin fabric of luggage bags? The point is that if someone really wants it, they will get it. Most airlines gives a small amount of insurance if your bag is lost. ** Carry all valuables as jewelry on your continue. Do not pack it. If you only take a small amount of things, so you could take a Duffle bag as a carry. Most airlines now only allow one driver and one personal item like a purse or briefcase. On most airlines you are only allowed two pieces of checked baggage without extra charge (weight limit its use … so be sure to check that) and some airlines now allow only one checked bag … so check with your airline to make sure! Make sure you do not have any liquids over 2 ounce in your carry bags, and that all fluids are in fourth size Ziploc bag or you get stopped at security checkpoints.
