If only centuries delayed, I would count them on my side, 10 to withdraw until my fingers fall in Van Diemen's Land. If certain, when this life was here that yours and mine should be, I would throw it here as a crust, 15 and taste eternity. But now, all ignorant of how long is uncertain wing, It ægger me like the goblin bee, it will not state its sting. 20
Love postponed. The author describes three different lengths of time plus forever (unlimited), waiting to see her love through each. In the conclusion, her discomfort in the uncertainty of waiting, "… all unaware of how long is uncertain wing, it ægger me like the goblin bee STATE WILL NOT his brother." Love hurts. Waiting for love hurts more.
